Umbrella's of Wellbeing 2019
Ombrello de Benessere 2019
A series of outdoor installations during Spring/Summer 2019 will comprise of umbrellas suspended with images of dancing figures, hanging mobile-like, underneath the canopy of the umbrella. The dancing figures represent care staff, alongside representations of what attributes combine to create the dance of caring persons under the umbrella of shared care. For further detail of the six C’s of nursing, refer to the link: https://www.england.nhs.uk/leadingchange/about/the-6cs/
These mobile air sculptures are visual metaphors for the dance of caring persons (Hardy and White, 2017) that creates an umbrella of universal care and protection of the fragile state of human health and wellbeing. When displayed in the outdoor settings, they bring added visual reference that allows for a moment of mindfulness, reflecting on the process of healing through the process of movement and interactive dance amongst the different elements under a canopy of caring.
